UPDATES:
In our community there are persons of varying age,
gender, partnership status, social involvement,
abilities, interests, and needs. Most like to enjoy
life, mingle with others, feel that their lives are
fulfilling. Some hit some rough and/or slippery spots
in their travels. A number of persons involved with MCC
Ocala realize that among the areas of living are care of
the physical, mental, emotional, and Spiritual aspects
of life. We invite all persons who know, or want to
know, of God's love for them; who are, or want to be,
involved in a life mode that will bring fullness to them
as they respond to that Source of Love.

Several people at MCC are engaging in intercessory prayer. If you have a prayer request, please send how you want it given to them to the email address or call the church. We also have a prayer wreath. People take a flower home with a tag on which they write their request. When they feel God has answered their prayer they bring the flower -the tag and place in on the prayer wreath. We will have a visible reminder that God does answer prayer. On the second Sunday during family prayer time their will be anointing with oil for those desiring it. It is a symbol of opening one's live to the healing power of the Holy Spirit. |

The Administrative Board has been engaged in a search for real estate that will be suitable to house MCC Ocala. There is now $20,900.00 in the building fund. It is hopeful that a place can be found that is a bit further south than the present location and keeps in mind the communities especially in Marion, Citrus, and Sumter Counties. This is a rather significant undertaking for MCC Ocala and needs support from a large number of persons. Of assistance would be increase monies coming into the Building Fund and emails or phone calls stating preferences of location in terms of closer to Citrus Couny or the East Marion/West Sumter county areas. Prayers for the success for this undertaking are vital. MCC Ocala has opportunity for great ministry that will build on our rather meager beginnings some five years ago. |

There are times in everyone's life when events happen that move one from what was once a comfortable, safe place to a place that feels unfamiliar and anything but really comfortable or safe. It may be moving to a new place, illness, friendships/relationships that end for whatever reason; financial strain, or just plain stuck-ness in life. For those who want to move on in life, Bridge Builders can help one another by being a support bridge for persons as they examine their lives, purpose and begin working on changes to move from a less positive to a more positive feeling space. The group meets at 2:00pm the 2nd Saturday of each month. |

Robert Poth III is heading up work for Equality Florida in Marion and Citrus counties. The group meets on the third Wednesday of every month at 6:30pm. Formulation of plans for a "Town Hall" type meeting in the near future has begun. This group is instrumental in lifting issues concerning equality and of providing information on actions that can be taken toward equality for all citizens. All are invited to attend.

A time for youth of ages from Junior in high school to college age. Since there is a lack of GSA's in the area, this can be a safe place for Gay and Straight Youth to meet for socialization.
